Gutter Installation

What are the best gutters for our home?

The biggest differences between the three styles we offer are style and capacity for water catchment. Imagine comparing a birdbath to a bucket: one may be significantly more appealing, but at the end of the day the bucket is going to catch the most water. Likewise, a 6” half-round gutter has a different style and therefore a different water capacity than a 6" box gutter, due to the difference in depth. Roof and Solar Solutions of Asheville can provide expert advice on the appropriate gutter style for application, to prevent overflow during heavy rain. Typically, k-style and box gutters are most effective in catching and moving water, k-style in particular are the most widely used and efficient style.

We look at the pitch and size of your roof to determine what water volume capacity your gutters require.
Gutter Types

K-Style Gutters

K-Style gutters get their name from the shape that mimics crown molding in a home. They are the most effective and widely-used gutters, valued for their efficiency and style as well as their ability to hold a large volume of water.

Box Gutters

Box gutters, sometimes called modern gutters, get their name from their boxy, simple design. These types of gutters are equally as effective in water catchment as k-style gutters but offer a very different style.

Half-Round Gutters

Half-Round gutters get their name from their half-cylindrical shape. These types of gutters are often found on historic homes and are often covered in copper, which we do offer. While these are the least effective in water catchment because of their shallow depth, Half-Round gutters lend a rustic charm to your home’s decor.

Whatever your gutter needs may be, we will help you select the best gutter system for your home.
